I rarely play games on iOS. But from time to time I’m in the mood. Outwitters was one of the few games I played because I like the turn-by-turn based concept. In this article the developers reflect on why freemium didn’t work for them and what went wrong when planning a game in the first place.
This is a major decision. I’m speechless. For the mass this will be a difficult transition. For the geeks it’s just another challenge. I’m not too worried. My first impression is that Google just tries to put more focus on modern web technologies. But maybe this is also part of their overall scheme along with pushing Chrome OS by demanding more full-fledged apps (Chrome Packaged Apps) which make Chromebooks a tad more desirable than they are now.
