Link List – December 27, 2013
Updated on: December 27, 2013 at 23:04
- BeeLine Reader – Read Faster on Mobile Devices and Computers
- Interesting concept. If at all, I’d use the gray color scheme. For me, otherwise it feels to busy.
- Penflip
- A new collaboration tool for writers. Build in the spirit of GitHub it provides a slightly different feature set than Draft or Editorially.
- How to Make Siri Pronounce Names Correctly on Your iPhone Running iOS 7
- Neat. Didn’t know that one.
- jabbalaci/Bash-Utils
- For web developers and web designers: a cross-platform app that takes care of all your pre-processing needs.
- Saved.io - The fastest way to save links in the cloud
- From the site’s description: “There’s no tags or comments, but you can organize your bookmarks into lists. Just put the list name in front of saved.io, like apps.saved.io/, and your bookmark will be saved to that new list.” Nice, but I’m all set with Pinboard.in
- A cloud storage service and bittorrent engine combined: put.io
- This web app brings you “Hassle-free torrenting in the cloud”. It’s a Dropbox kind of service which has streaming capabilities. Looks like a good place to store family movies.
- Cheeatz
- Archive Gists in Evernote with this web application (which is currently in beta).
- A-Bit of Nintendo
- Hands-down, this is one of the best chiptune medley’s I ever heard. Joe Jeremiah’s Nintendo special is right up my alley. And, it’s versatile enough to keep me entertained for 8:36 minutes. I especially enjoyed the slow passages in-between. “ULTIMATE NOSTALGIA ATTACKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” indeed.
- TapTap See
- Probably the best app when it comes to make the iPhone more accessibility for blind and visually impaired. Here’s a link to a real world test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd4SPDUfJ-A. The results in this video are stunning. The app itself is free and you can buy 100 pictures for $7.99 or 1 Month of unlimited pictures for $9.99.
- Watch Full Length Movies on youtube
- A site which links to full length movies on YouTube.
- BrushLovers.com
- BrushLovers is one of those sites where you can spend a whole day. The recently changed their pricing model and you can use the site for free now.
- Niice. A search engine with taste.
- A nice and clean search engine for designers who are on the hunt for some design inspiration.
- emoticode - Snippets and Source Code Search Engine
- Nice collection of code snippets.
- Write Your CSS with JavaScript
- If you haven’t heard of David Walsh before then now is the time. He’s a web developer who - in his own ways - is as much a mad scientist as Brett Terpstra. Now he brewed his own preprocessor. Yaw-dropping.
- The Price Geek
- Find out the market price for anything with this web application. I’m sitting in Germany, when converting the price for my iPhone 5 in Euros it’s fairly accurate – that’s all I can say.
- Debianguru/MailWebsiteChanges
- Track RSS-less websites for changes and let you send emails when it changes. You can also generate an RSS feed.
- dbinbox: an inbox for your Dropbox
- Nice idea. Wish I had found this earlier since I just set up a website just for this purpose.
- How to type in an app while the app switcher is open
- Typing while the apps switcher is open on iOS = nifty/. Thanks iDownloadBlog.
- The Talking Boat
- 17 seconds of YouTube fun (via @flarup)
- Back to the Future/Knight Rider Intro Mashup
- Two things from my childhood molded into one.
- Lookback
- YouTube demo video for Lookback which allows iOS developers to gather enhanced feedback on the user experience.
