Booki.sh has been around for a while. It’s a nifty alternative for people who don’t want to rely on iBooks. Note: you can only upload DRM-free EPUB files.
Handy command-line tool to batch assign default applications to open certain file types. Handy if you make a clean install. I always used RCDefaultApp for this kind of action.
In the comments one guy says that it’s good because the task at hand was a simple app, perfect for a one-army developer. In general I don’t like these sell-out your work for cheap money platforms. They exist for all kind of jobs and seldom the vision of the buyer and the seller matches. I think it’s better to put some money aside until one can afford the best person for the job you can get for the among of money in your piggy bank.
Dr. Drang did it again. Cleaning up screen shots wasn’t as import to me as it is to others. In addition I was always to cheap to buy an app for that task and the convenience vs. result ratio didn’t feel right for me. Now it’s such an easy task that I’m on-board with deluxe screen shots.
Although the article is just great, I hesitated sharing it here since it reminded me of lies I’ve told my 3 year old recently. I though both were from Medium and didn’t like the fact that they feature “repetitive” topics (I don’t like Medium as a system, but they got some talented writers… and others). But after a walk to the archive it turns out that I didn’t find the latter on Medium. So here’s an awesome story.
Order yourself a “mini me”. The most problematic part when ording a miniature is always the paint job – some of them don’t come in color and you have to wave the brush yourself. The good thing is that Twinkind does the job for you. Other than that… mini-me’s are expensive.
On average I have 5-6 weeks in a year where I have major sleeping issues. Ending up with a maximum of 3-4 hours of sleep… although this video didn’t convince me that it’s I shouldn’t worry, it’s definitely something to watch if you worry about your own sleeping patterns.
Paula Borowska explains the basics of her creative process when it comes to designing iOS 7 styled icons. A short read with some nice templates. However, since the article is geared towards how to find inspiration and how to organize your creative sparks, here’s my go-to template for those of you who already know what they are doing: Micheal Flareup’sApp Icon Template. And, the quickest way to quickly preview an icon on your device is Ikonica.
